Senior Women

Our Senior Women's squad, encompassing freshers and ex-beginners up to U23 World Champions, follows a base training programme of 10-12 sessions a week, with individual adjustments made and extra sessions added where necessary. Water training takes place at Strathclyde Country Park, with land training in the university's Pleasance Sport Complex & Gym, where we have our Dame Katherine Grainger rowing gym.

We race throughout the season at events based around the UK, with a particular focus on BUCS events, the Women's Head of the River and both Henley regattas. We look to encourage and support athletes to meet their potential regardless of what level they join the club at, be that a Championship win at BUCS Regatta or a Gold medal at the U23 World Championships; working closely with our Strength and Conditioning coach as well as our Physio team and Sports Psychologist in order to achieve these. Last season we were the only University to qualify three eights into the Island Challenge Cup which we intend to use a springboard to build on from this season.
